FACOM stands for " Franco-Américaine de Construction d'Outillage à Main  " and was created in 1918 in Paris by an engineer, Louis Mosés. This entrepreneur manufactures an adjustable wrench, the "Lachèze", specially curved for laying railway tracks. Mosés will baptize it "key 101". FACOM has diversified into hand tools, industrial maintenance, automobile repair and also aeronautics. Since 2006, FACOM has been a subsidiary of Stanley Black & Decker, where it is the Premium brand of the IAR (automobile repair) division of the group. It employs 370 people and its turnover exceeds 150 million euros. It manufactures all kinds of tools, Torx wrenches, flats, multi-sockets, chain or ratchets, its core business, but also impact wrenches and their sockets, screwdrivers, rolling jacks, and even maids. FACOM has remained faithful to its entrepreneurial origins by supporting the Bud Racing Team so our mechanics can maintain the motocross grand prix bikes with the best tools available.
